Housing complex Nad Kamínkou

_ The smooth interconnection of the landscape with the urban environment shapes the character of the place.

The design respects the existing street grid of Zbraslav and creates a smooth transition between the city and nature. The mass composition responds to the context: on Na Kamínce Street, it maintains a solid street line and height accent, while towards the open countryside, the volumes decrease in terraces.rnrnInside the block, there are two semi-public courtyards that offer a safe and intimate space for residents. They are connected by a footpath and serve as the main entrance to the houses. The northern boundary of the plot, on the other hand, opens up – the offset of the volumes allows the gardens to visually merge with the adjacent public park and orchard.

Living in the green

The connection of the residential complex to the green axis of Zbraslav naturally links the urban environment with the countryside.

The expansion of Borovičky and Belveder parks towards the residential area brings nature closer to people. Housing thus

becomes part of the greenery, surrounded by lush vegetation and mature trees.

Mass configuration

The solution responds sensitively to the existing urban structure and terrain morphology. The elevation gradient sloping down towards

the parks naturally connects to the landscaped terrain and gives the houses a human scale. The division of the masses increases the legibility

of the whole and smoothly connects the new development with the surrounding buildings.

Premises and open spaces

The houses themselves naturally divide the surrounding spaces and shape their diverse character. For residents and visitors alike,

this creates a clear and intuitive environment – from a public park with sports facilities, through semi-public roads between

blocks, to private courtyards and gardens.
