Revitalization of Juvel plaza

Juvel square. An imprint of urban infrastructure in the face of the city from times of the past political regimes. Throughout its existence, the complex of buildings around the little public square gained multiple layers, while other perished. A network of shelters once connecting the building structures is only apparent in fragments today.
The proposal to revive the Juvel plaza enters the site with respect towards existing qualities. There is no ambition to radically change the space. The outcome takes shape of a public square, which evolves from its original intention, reinforces it, strengthens its character and responds to the current needs of the city and its inhabitants.
