Macharovo Square Ořechovka

Machar Square is the center, the center of the Ořechovka residential district. Not only its position within the whole, its dimensions, proportions, scale, but also its functional content and facilities. The design respects the space consistency and continues. New tennis courts are located in an almost identical place as the existing, the object of the tennis club is then placed “above” courts. The position of the club building over the courtyards creates a significantly more interesting communication and urban space between the cinema building and the sports club. There is a distance, overview, the street gets a different, more generous dimension. Operationally, the structure is broken down by floor into a basement with club facilities, dressing rooms, toilets and storeroom, and ground floor with restaurant operation, manager facilities and transformer space. Both floors are connected by a wide open staircase, which at the same time connects the club with the upper, park part of the square.
