The aim of the proposal is to extend the axis of the exhibition centre and its connection with the city centre. The project will offer new modern sports facilities and at the same time improve the entrance to the fairgrounds. The vertical element will serve as a clear indication of the entrance to the exhibition centre and will also create a compositional contrast to the public space and the sports hall.
The new dynamic town square, activated by shops and public buildings, creates a symbiosis between the two main buildings – the large sports hall and the exhibition centre. On the day of a sporting or social event, it is a boarding area, but most of the time it serves as a lively place through which people pass on their way through the exhibition centre, but they can also stop to shop or sit in the park or play sport.
